The 3-3-3 guideline (3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to settle, 3 months to feel fully secure) provides a helpful framework, but it's not rigid. Whether you start Reiki on day one or week two, and whether your companion needs support for two months or six, we'll meet them exactly where they are. Your first session focuses exclusively on your new family member, just you and them, to establish trust and assess their unique needs. After that, if you have other animals, we'll include them in future sessions to create household-wide energetic harmony as everyone adjusts together. Sessions typically last 30 minutes and can be done at your home or via distance healing through a video call. We'll customize the sessions based on your companion's needs, whether that's weekly during intense adjustment, bi-weekly check-ins, or monthly support throughout their transition to their new home.
